In 2012 we set about designing a track that was both elegant and incredibly strong, with the capability of holding artworks of all sizes.

When contemplating the variety of frame types out there, including historical heritage frames with protruding canvas stretcher frames at the rear, we needed to facilitate hanging close to and away from the wall.

The Fine Art & Tapestry Batten (FATB) was conceived, completely original in its design and concept.

This double aperture track enables the user to hang from the lower or upper part of the track, offering differing distances from the wall surface.

We installed the FATB into Torre Abbey, a thirteenth century abbey housing the largest collection of artworks in the Westcountry UK.

A major consideration in the design process was strength and durability.

Using structural alloys in the extrusion process along with tempering has enabled us to produce an incredibly strong and resiliant product.

In the years since it was first installed we have not seen another track that comes close to its capability to hang frames of considerable size and weight.

Its ability to connect frames direct to track has been a game changer when hanging full height portraits.
